H.U.G.S. Charlotte is a peer support group for people who have lost a family member or friend to suicide. It is their mission to offer healing, support, understanding and education in order to empower survivors through the grieving process. They offer a safe environment where confidentiality and individual difference will be honored in a respectful and appropriate manner.
H.U.G.S. Charlotte offers a diverse background of individuals from all different backgrounds that meet bi-monthly to discuss different daily stories, obstacles, hardships, or anything that might have an effect on their members. They embrace diversity and welcome all who have experienced a loss to suicide. H.U.G.S. Charlotte is open to anyone who has experienced a loss of a loved one to suicide. Referrals are made for children experiencing such a loss. In addition to the peer support group, H.U.G.S. Charlotte will also provide early response and home visits to those who don't feel ready for a group environment. All services are free of charge. H.U.G.S. Charlotte welcomes new young adults and parents at every session!
