Rebecca has been involved with the suicide prevention/mental health awareness initiative in Charlotte since 2008. She lost her father in 2007 to suicide and later became involved with AFSP, HUGS and Alice McGinley. She and Alice co-chaired Charlotte’s Out of the Darkness walk for several years, then Rebecca served as chair for a couple of years, as Alice’s work in the Char-Meck schools and her support of suicide survivors became more demanding.
Over the years, Rebecca has given her time to a variety of other non-profits in the Charlotte area, including Humane Society of Charlotte, and a number of other animal welfare and advocacy organizations.
Rebecca would love your support of HUGS and Alice McGinley, even if you haven’t been touched by suicide or mental health issues, as the support offered by HUGS and Alice McGinley is invaluable to our community, our residents, and our children.
